Cracroft Ocean Adventures Scenic Water Tours

Orca (killer whales) are the largest member of the dolphin family. The males grow to be about 27 feet and 11 tons and the females to about 23 feet and 8 tons. Killer whales are found in colder regions and throughout all oceans. They live and hunt in large family groups known as pods.

We are situated south-east of Telegraph Cove on West Cracroft Island in a sheltered cove called Pott's Lagoon. Be sure to have binoculars and camera handy, the adventure begins on the way down Johnstone Straits past Hanson Island to the tip of  West Cracroft Island. Proceed down the Baronet Passage to Klaoltsis Island and on to Pott's Lagoon. We are on the regular scheduled service of  Vancouver Island Air and know the flight from and to the lodge in a floatplane is spectacular.

Your guide is Kevin Zawislake. Kevin has over 10 years of local fishing experience and was the Honor Graduate of North Island College's Coastal Adventure Tourism Program. He is a retired Search and Rescue Technician with over 21 years experience and he has taken numerous marine safety courses.
